    Default To a wonderful relationship!

I am in the US. All four of my grandparents were immigrants; three were English or Ulster Scots. I hope to learn a bit about their and my ancestors here.

I started genealogy two years ago next month when my husband suggested a trip to Ireland and I wanted to go where our ancestors' actually lived. So we poked around on the fringes of the touristy areas. I am now hooked on the thrill of the search and am looking forward to similar trips to Scotland and England--someday.

A very warm welcome to British-Genealogy Ruthie

You have come to the right place to research your ancestors. Our members love a good search for theirs and others families. The word obsession comes to mind when talking about the 'hobby' of genealogy so beware, although it sounds as though you have already been hooked

I see you have already posted on the Westmoreland forum. Hopefully you will get some answers soon.
