    Default Mention in dispatches

    Hi All, looking for some information regarding MID....Ive found the record for my grand father who is noted as being included in MID but im wondering how i find the superior officers report, i.e. the specific reason/report where he mentioned in dispatches.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    HI Ryan

    MID's are listed in the London Gazette and usually the officer who listed it has a discussion of events that happened at the time. Individual citations are not recorded, it may be recorded in the units war diary, but may not be.
    You could also try local newspapers around that time.
