Hello, my name is Julie and I have been researching my family tree for around 9 yrs. I have uncovered a couple of unexpected things that I was unaware of in my ancestry, this is what I enjoy about it as you just don't know what you may find out.

Hell Julie and a very warm welcome to British-Genealogy
I think it is the unexpected find that perks us up when our research just seems to be trundling along. In this hobby we know not to take responsibility for what some of our ancestors got up to.
Of course if our own lot get too boring we have the opportunity on these forums to try and sort out other
members ancestors.
You could be in for a long read if you intend investigating the forums but will come across all sorts of hints and ideas for your research and may be able to help others as well. Dive in and enjoy.

Thanks for the welcome Christina, hopefully I can find answers to some of the brick walls I have encountered and maybe I will be able to help someone else along the way
