    Default Howard P Fitzwater...R.A.F.?

Help.... Can anyone assist me. I have been informed that my mother's cousin Howard Percival Fitzwater, joined the R.A.F during ww2, he had spent some years in Canada, first as a home child 1929-1935/6 then he returned to Canada in 1937-1938. But, here's the rub, there is no record of him in the Midland Electoral Rolls from that time, not even on the absent voters list. I dont suppose someone is expert enough to find out if he was in the R.A.F that is all I need, I can find the rest of the info myself...just need a break through right now. Thank you

    Welcome to British Genealogy Matahari

This guide on the National Archives site may be of some help.

Howard was born 1914 birth registered in Aston district? He came back to England in Aug 1938 and married and died there? The only record that seems to have his middle name Percy/Percival is the shipping list to Canada as a home child in 1929.
If you are going to act on Robert's suggestion it may be as well to mention this.

    Good luck

Sorry, Robert who, I have only just recieved these messages, I know that he was a home child and rather like a boomerang coming back and forth to England. I really would like tho know something more about him. I know his middle name began with P, probably Percival, he married Ethel Venables(nee Pugh), and died in 1972. He was going to return to Canada, but the war started which was why he joined the R.A.F.
