I have been looking into the Blackmore-Squires family for sometime, I married into this family in 1967, though the London side of the family dropped the `Blackmore` from their name, my father-in-law was the last one in London to have it on his birth & death certificates, we are not why sure this part of the name was dropped, originally from Somerset - then South Wales before a lot of them settled in West London in the 1930`s.
