Kathleen May Roberts - what happened to her?

Kathleen was born in Waitara Taranaki New Zealand 1906. Parents were Kate and Pembrook Roberts. Kathleen was a music teacher. At some stage she left NZ for the UK. Don't know when, but in 1938 she left the UK for the States on a ship call "American Banker" arriving in Boston Massachusetts on the 28 Aug 1938. She was meeting a A.L.Anderson. Kathleen was 32 when she arrived in the States.
That is all the information I have on her.
What happened to her? Did she marry this A.L Anderson? Is she buried somewhere in the States?
Does someone out there know of this lady?

Looking at Boston Arrivals she notes her last residence as Seven Oaks Kent..so she left from London ?

Do you know Kathleen's day and month of birth? If she didn't marry there is this to put in the pile of maybes

I wonder if a death notice or death cert. of the parents would have anything about Kathleen on them. They could mention if Kathleen is deceased in brackets or mention a surname for her if she did marry.

I've printed out your replays so I don't get confused or lost with who has "found what".
A bit more information that may or may not prove to be helpful
She was born 10 March 1906
She was 35 at the time of her fathers death in 1941
She was 69 at the time of her mothers death in 1977.

Thanks Valg now it seems we know where she embarked for the US.
Your 2nd post Valg is a possible/maybe. Birth year is right but the rest………..? She may very well have gone to Aus at some stage. Her music.. training? maybe.
Christanel - Kathleen was born 10 March 1906, so this lady doesn't fit. Pembrook Roberts is indeed her father.
Shippo - Only thing on her parents death certs is her age at the time of their deaths.

I think this lady takes after her mother - A earlier post "I've found her"

On Kathleen's parent's death certificates does it give only her first name? No surname? It doesn't say deceased?
I am scrabbling for some information that will help find her.

Sorry Christina,
It only gives age at time of parents deaths nothing else. They only had one daughter.
I'm going to get her birth Cert. just make very sure of her name even though I know I have got the right name. Doesn't hurt to have it in black and white.

I've found a Massachusetts Marriage 1938 A. Lucas Gardiner to Kathleen May Roberts. City of Brookline. Her possibly, maybe? Can't find any thing to give me more in formation. Anyone know how to weasel more information out of the "All Massachusetts, Marriage Index, 1901 - 1955 & 1966 -1970" short of buying the certificate.
