    looking for my great uncle Joseph Mullan. Born 1917 in limavady area county Derry northern ireland. Joined forces in 1939. Last seen in Ballykelly in 1951. Believed to have resided in England after this time.

    Hello and welcome to British-Genealogy

    WW11 records for service personnel are not online as they are still held by the MOD. This sticky
    explains who can apply and when but the problem is that you need a death certificate to be given access to the full records. I can't see a suitable death registration for him. Do you know his exact date of birth? You are sure it was 1917? Could his last name have been recorded as Mullane?
    Sorry I am asking so many questions but trying to get a handle on possible candidates.
