    Question Can anyone help me?

    Hi
I hope someone can help me. This is a rather strange request as I purchased a silver St Christopher bracelet near Hastings about 10 years ago and have repeatedly tried to find out about the former owner,
The inscription on the back reads:
    RAF
    F WHIPP
    1350877
    GOD BLESS YOU
    JEAN
I can trace a RAF entry for a F WHIPP but there does not seem to be a reference number so wonder if I have the right person. How can I check?

    Hi

The main problem is WW2 records are not online, you have to apply for them here - https://www.veterans-uk.info/service_...e_records.html
A google search bring sup nothing, so he did not die or get a gallantry award.
    From here - https://www.rafcommands.com/forum/sho...1946-awards-(1)
I came acress this - WHIPP, Maurice Alexander, F/O (185005, RAFVR*) - No.45 Air School, Oudtshoorn, South Africa - AFC
don't know if a relation or not.

    regards

    Robert

I'm not sure whether this will help, but assuming that Jean was his wife or girlfriend and looking for a marriage around WW2 there is a Frederick G Whipp who married Jeannette Caterer (Hackney Sept 1938). There are twin girls Barbara and Brenda Whipp born Hatfield Mar 1942, mother's maiden name Caterer.
