From all the information given to you, what information have you officially verified?Are you using a family tree program or just scribbled notes?Start of with those things you have verified and only add verified data.POB can be flexible,parents would have given information on 1851 and 1861 census,George then is asked in 1871,his first memory is Coventry so that is it.

the first record i have of george is his wedding in 1875 then following census data 1881/1891/1901 till his death in 1906 sorry for the very late reply

A search of births 2 years either side of 1849 for the Coventry area only produces one registration
Births Mar 1848 (>99%)
Wilson George Coventry 16 408
The census may show other George WILSON's b in Coventry, however they may have reported the nearest large town....
