Hi my grandfather Joseph harney his dad was Andrew born in madras and his brother Bernard. I never knew there was a sister!! Wow
my mother was Mary Harney, his eldest child, who passed away recently she was born as too her father in Armagh, they came from navan street .
My great grandfather born 1840 served in 89 th foot regiment same number and details all as above. I knew of Bernard harney through my investigations but the harney family residing in Armagh today does not know of him. He went to Belfast to live.

I am new to this but saw your posting re Mary Harney born in India. My great Grandmother was Mary Harney born in India I believe she was born 1875. I don't have any details of who her parents were. She lived in Armagh and was married 3rd May 1897 to James Corr, Bernard Harney was a witness. She is buried in the grounds of Armagh Cathedral. I am wondering if this is the same Mary Harney and did you manage to get details of her parents.
