    Hi geneius.

How did you manage to dream that up?

You seem to have fitted together the info I've had for a while and I could not see a fit. I've seen the Indian Army file before, but I thought the address and DOB were wrong?

And there is the older Caroline. Who is she?

I have a couple of records of two of the girls, which might fit.

    1901
The Lead Page says, St Anne's Home, Convalescent Home.

Alice Graham 15 Patient [b. Unknown. Occ: Ward helper]

I'm finding a bit hard to think about my family going through the Workhouse system. Did any of them other than Caroline and George, have a life after the Workhouse?

No idea just small family tree from the 1891 census and 'butterflying' around the infomation hoping it made sense to you and started to fit into place

I too struggled with the workhouse entry and yes found Alice as you have done.

All I can conclude is something happened to the family in the mid 1890's as it seems to have split and not been united. Further invetigation into the Workhouse and St Margarets Parish records may reveal more

Ironically the Secrets of the Workhouse ITV programme was on yesterday afternoon and this pm...quite emotional.... ( it should be on catchuptv.com)

Caroline GRAHAM senior is married to a George GRAHAM I think she was a McCARTHEY and is on the 1861 census

I need to have a look to see if I can find nore baptisms and at least Georeg's marriage to Priscilla!

    John,

George William's parish register birth/baptismal record is on Findmypast in the year 1887 and the occupation of his father (although shown as George William) fits with the 1891 census record in post 4. However, there is also a George William GRAHAM who is in the Army as there is another baptism on FMP of a Caroline Rose GRAHAM born also in 1887 at the same church to this George William GRAHAM with the same mother's forename. Confused - I am but cannot give any more details as it is a pay per view site and you will have to take out a subscription to see full details. Hannah Matilda's baptism in 1899 is also there.

    Janet
