Watson William Robbins was born in 1875 in Watlington, Oxfordshire, England to Albert Robbins and Amelia Hopkins. in 1891 he was living in White Waltham, Berkshire, England with his parents and siblings.

In 1935 Watson William Robbins and his wife Alice, return to England for a visit from Durban South Africa. Alice was born in Newcastle in 1881.
