If you check the local council website for the area, it should give you information regarding contact details for crematorium and cemeteries. It will also tell you if their cemetery registers have been put on "deceased online" database.
the majority of Church registers will probably be with the Devon record Office, but registers still in use (and a burial register with a burial of 1954 may still be in use) will still be with the church, in which case you would need to contact the church directly.Last edited by Wilkes_ml; 01-09-2013 at 2:59 PM.
