Ewan,
Do you mean 1851 census HO107/1470/102/22 at 2 Grays Cottages, St Pauls, Hammersmith?
If so, her place of birth is given as Hammersmith, the same for her two daughters Elizabeth 1849 and Lydia 1851
George gives his place of birth as Putney Surrey - he is a horse keeper.

I can see Lydia and George on the 1861at 4 South Cottages, Hammersmith. RG09/23/70/25
Both George and Lydia are consistant with their places of birth (ie Putney and Hammersmith), they have 4 more children all born Hammersmith - George 1853, Sarah 1855, Lucy 1857, William 1859. George is still a horse Keeper

Yes pennydog, that is the one thank you for posting that information.
I have been having difficulty in finding her sister Elizabeth Purdy's baptism from 1822ish Hammersmith. I have Lydia's from St Paul Hammersmith and now it states Hammersmith on the census.

I cannot see a baptism for an Elizabeth Purdey daughter of George and Mary 1822 +/- 5 years in Hammersmith or elsewhere.
