Charles Rattue age 22, father William Rattue
    married
Agnes Everex age 26, father Job Everex
    26 July 1883, Salisbury

I can find Agnes with her parents Job and Charlotte on 1861 census: 739 f143 p4
and with her sister Mary in 1881 census: 2070 f62 p13
but annoyingly none of it will lead me to Charles and Agnes in 1891.

    Will keep looking.

Thankyou Pippycat for all your help.As mentioned in an earlier thread an Edith Rattue was born in 1913{Westbury-on-Severn} but on her birth cert.her mother`s maiden name is down as Rattue. The possibilities are either it was an error or she was the daughter of one of Septimus`s sisters?Could she have been the daughter of Rose?Either way it`s a mystery!

There are a few possible explantions as to who Edith Rattue could be:

She could be the daughter of Septimus and Rose Ellen, the time frame is pretty good for them or maybe Edith is daughter of his brother Thomas.

Edith could be child of one of the sisters: Gladys and Mabel are too young, Alice died in 1907 so that leaves Mary, Florence or Emily. Mary at home in 1911 and Florence and Emily working away as servants, who knows, a lot can happen in 2 years!

It could be a mistake, entering Rattue instead of a maiden name, or Edith could belong to an entirely different family.

    You know whats coming next

.....the only way to find out the names of Edith's parents is to purchase her birth cert!
