Default British Columbia BMD indexes/images online

Just saw a notice about this and thought it might be of interest to those looking for ancestors/relatives in Canada's westernmost province.

Original record images of births (1854-1903), marriages (1872-1936), deaths (1872-1991), colonial marriages (1859-1872) and baptisms (1836-1888) in British Columbia can now be viewed free of charge on the Royal BC Museum/BC Archives website. Go to https://
search-collections.royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/Genealogy/BasicSearch (I've left this as an active link, since this appears to be a non-commercial site - moderators please change if necessary).

    Hope this helps someone -

    Tim

P.S. I debated about whether to post this message in
Canada Genealogy or Useful Online Sources, will let the mods decide if it needs to be moved.

Thank you, Tim! I have already found some of my Newrick family.

What a lot of detail these records give: they put our English certificates to shame! And I like the price too!
