    Hi Annemarie,

Thanks for this post. I looked at the generousgenealogists.com/ web site, looking for someone in South Africa, where I have hit a brick wall. I didn't find anyone. Do you have any contacts in SA?

Coincidentally, my mother's maiden name was Healy, originally from Ireland but most of the family is now in the UK. My Irish brick wall is a Robert Healy b 1820 in Cork, married Mary Ann (surname unknown) b 1825. They had a son Henry Francis Healy b 1848 in Blackrock. This family emigrated to the UK. Do you have any information on this Healy family in your tree?

    Thanks for any help

    Paul

The only site I knew of was Ancestry24 which sadly closed in February 2013.

There is still a search facility with responses that may assist you in further research, got ot be worth a try!

You could try the South Africa Forum here on B-G

Have a read of the sticky thread at the top of the forum for some pointers to South African research
