    You have quoted the Schedule Number NOT the house number which IS number 3. Take care with numbers and names etc. or you might end up in a merry chase.

    Who was the informant on the death certificate? Was it his wife - and if so, did it give her address?

    I agree with Pam and Peter, that the address in column 5 would be his home address, not where he worked.

    My Great Uncle's death certificate (1907) gives his occupation as Shipwright HMD (Her Majesty's Dockyard) of 48 New Road, Chatham. He died in hospital, but the informant was his father of 48 New Road Chatham.
