I am trying to trace the parents names of my 4 x great grandfather Charles Penery born at East Stonehouse in 1801. He was married to Mary Penery (nee Baskerville) born in 1800 and baptised at Plympton St.Mary.
I am unable to trace his or her birth records or their marriage records.
I think Charles Penerys father may have been William Penery born 1780 in Plymouth as Charles 2 x first born sons were named William. I cannot confirm this fact due to no records availiable.
If anyone could assist it would be appreciated.

There were 2 Mary BASKERVILL(E)s baptised at Plympton St Mary -
10 Feb 1799 dau of John & Mary
23 Jan 1803 dau of Arthur & Elizabeth
Most East Stonehouse registers have survived for ca 1800 - see https://genuki.cs.ncl.ac.uk/DEV/EastS...use/index.html .
You will need to employ a researcher to visit the Plymouth & West Devon Record Office to examine them.

Was he the landlord of the Devonport Railway Hotel?
If you google for Plymouth Family History or Devon Family History
quite a few sites show up that may be of interest.
Trade Directories might give you a clue, the genuki site posted by Dob7 has many useful links.
Do you have a Mormon (Family Search) office in SA? They can order you in the record. Check their site.
