    Default Hoxton House 1902

According to the Calendar of Wills, a gg-aunt, Elizabeth Ann Ward died at Hoxton House in Hoxton, Middlesex on 5 Feb 1902. She couldn't have been there long, as she was living with her sister at the time of the 1901 census. Any suggestions about how to find information on why she was there? Any records available?

    Thanks!!

According to studymore.org.uk/, "The London Metropolitan Archives contain Registers of patients maintained by the Union in imbecile asylums 1896 - 1902 (reference WEBG/WM/52/2)".

Hoxton House became an asylum in 1695 continuing into 20th century. It was demolished in 1911.

If you visit the website mentioned above and have a search for Hoxton, a lot of information comes up.
