I'm sorry to hear that, Terry, but I'm really glad you're in the clear. I saw that advert when I was in England recently, and my sister, who's a doctor, was very critical of it, because of the fear it inspires in people. Here in France, since I was 50, I'm supposed to go for mammographies every two years and I keep getting letters to do a test for colon cancer; in fact, I think you're supposed to have an exploratory camera where the sun doesn't shine once you're 50, too and every so often thereafter. They believe in preventative medecine. I believe in heredity and, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! (And if men had to have mammographies, they wouldn't be so keen on dishing them out!). At the moment I'm more scared of Alzheimer's as my Mum has got that and has gone downhill quite badly since Dad died, but the doctor just laughs it off when I try to talk to him about my memory lapses.
Good thinking, Sherlock. You've probably nailed it, especially as there are no Administration records, either, like when there's money but no will.

I've gone that I hate visiting the doctors. All they want to do is experiment on me lol
I'm just trying to figure out who William Carr Wright is now. There are only 2 people born with that name
Births Dec 1877 WRIGHT William Carr York 9d 58
Births Sep 1903 Wright William Carr Sunderland 10a 689
Was he the son or the brother of Ida Mary Wright
Marriages Jun 1906
Harrison Alfred Ernest York 9d 63
Wright Ida Mary York 9d 63
And how does the Carr bit fit into his name?

I know the feeling! Either that, or you can only get an appointment six months away (yes, it happens here, too) by which time what you had has cleared up anyway.
Christening record for W.C. Wright of 1877:
Name: William Carr Wright
Gender: Male
Christening Date: 6 Jan 1878
Christening Place: York, Yorkshire, England
Father's Name: William Wright
Mother's Name: Ann
1881 Census:
William Wright - Head - 36 - Coachman Domestic Serv - Walkington, Yorkshire, England
Ann Wright - Wife - 36 - Sancton, Yorkshire, England
Ida M. Wright - Daughter - 5 - York, Yorkshire, England
William C. Wright - Son - 3 - York, Yorkshire, England
1891 Census:
William W Wright - Head - 45 - Shopman Coach & Hansom Maker - Walkington, Yorkshire, England
Ann E Wright - Wife - 46 - Sancton, Yorkshire, England
Ada M Wright - Daughter - 15 - Scholar - York, Yorkshire, England

Annie C St Clair - 69 - Boarder
Eva St Clair - 31 - Boarder
Agnes Rutherford - 21 - Boarder
Edith Beaumont - 35 - Boarder
A couple of mistakes in the transcription here: Father is also William C. Wright, but the enumerator has definitely put Ada, not Ida.

So the William Carr Wright born 1877 was a brother to Ida Mary Wright
I have found this marriage
groom's name: William Cook Wright
groom's birth date: 1846
groom's age: 28
bride's name: Ann Elizabeth Carr
bride's birth date: 1845
bride's age: 29
marriage date: 30 Oct 1874
marriage place: York, England
indexing project (batch) number: I03608-0, source film number: 1470671
I wonder if these could be his parents.

Well lookie here.
Ann Elizabeth Carr, Female
baptism/christening date: 20 Apr 1844, SANCTON,YORK,ENGLAND
father's name: Frederick Carr
mother's name: Harriot
indexing project (batch) number: C10701-1, source film number: 919436
So Ann Elizabeth Carr was a sister to Ida Drayton, formally Wass nee Carr.
That would make William Carr Wright and Ida Mary Wright, Ida and Thomas' Nephew and niece.
