Default over 50's residential which allows cats?

    Hi there,
my husband and I will be returning to UK, specifically anywhere Devon or second choice Cornwall - does anyone know of an over 50's residential park that will allow us to keep our two cats which we will be bringing with us from South Africa?

I have looked at many but they all seem to state no pets. Any help/advice would be hugely appreciated.

    Tons of luv

    Hello Hilda,

Do a Google search for "devon over 50's residential home pets welcome"

    It brings up a couple.

I'm not totally clear what a "residential park" is. What sort of accommodation are you looking for? I suspect it what we normally term retirement homes ("residential" may skew results towards care homes)

You may like to try a google search term such as "retirement homes" pets devon

Also look out for the specialised agencies selling retirement homes.

Thank you Lizzy9 and Peter, will try your suggestions it will be cheaper than phoning each over 50's residential/retirement park, found a few yesterday but gave up as internet reacting badly, guess it was the flooding. Do hope your parts of the world are not flooded as seen on TV yesterday. I think I should also google on top of a mountain!

A couple of sites worth starting with are -

    https://www.
    rightmove.co.uk/retirement-homes-for-sale.html

    https://www.
    retirementhomesearch.co.uk/

    Better than scatter gun googling

Thanks Peter for your help and advice. I emailed one estate agent and they replied "retirement parks accept cats" which was rubbish because the website of that particular park clearly stated no pets, so I phoned the park and they told me they no longer allow any pets - so much for estate agents!!! my search goes on.
    Regards
    Hilda
