Fave aspect of finding ancestors?

Yes sometimes I have torn my hair out with a few brickwalls namely with William Inkpen but the fun is not knowing then having a huge surprise when you do find out. If we found out everything right away it would be very boring. Sometimes I find out something on an ancestor and am excited for a few days esp when I am in London and wake up the day after with such a great feeling. But at times you have to admit defeat with a few lines if you cannot go back any further. But you never know one day some vital evidence may come to light when you least expect it.

Where are your Inkpens from as I have found a couple from Hampshire / Berkshire going back to the 1800s.

My Inkpens came from Oxford City. William Inkpen who wed in 1765 in Oxford to Jane Coley. William died in 1769. I assume he was born about 1740 but I dont know where. I dont think he was from Oxfordshire or Berkshire originally.
