    Default looking for grenadier guard ancestor

    hi, folks hope someone can help point me in the right direction i have an old uncle who was in the grenadier guards all i know is that he was named thomas haines born 18/6/1905 lived in wolverhampton staffordshire in his later years and died in sept 1977 any help whatsoever would be really appreciated thanks folks...kev

    From what you have you should be able to get his service records. By that date they have an awful lot of information.
    It does cost £ 30 and you might need a next of kin to agree to it.

    Did he have a middle name, checking freebmd for that specific period-April-Sept 1905 there are only 3...all 3 born in the June reg period..Thomas A. in Hull Yorkshire Thomas Alfred in Pontypridd Wales and Thomas Wilfred. in Wst Derby Lancashire...

    There is a death for a Thomas Wilfred brn 1905 in 1979 in LIverpool so that is a good fit for the one above.
    Is the death for Thomas Mornington Haines 1977 your Thomas??
