George wright

Looking for my grandfather George Wright.
Know very little about him. He was not married to my grandmother Agnes Brown McLean.

All I know of him is on my mothers birth certificate which is as follows:

Moyra McLean Wright
5th October 1939
Tower hill Road, Glasgow

Agnes Brown McLean
Hairdresser

George Wright
Tramcar Motorman
(Bandsman: 1st Battn.
Glasgow Highlanders)

My mother was told he was a drummer in the army.
I presume he was born in Scotland ( being in Glasgow Highlanders)
And he must have been born some where between 1890 and 1920
that's all I have so hope someone can help.

I know this can be a sensitive issue as he may have had a family and no doubt did in the future

I have had a quick look on the subscription site that carries Army records, but cannot instantly see a G WRIGHT with a Glasgow unit

Would like to ask again if anyone has info. My mother is 74 and as a child didn't want to know about her father but now that I am finding info on other lines in our family she thinks she would like to find out about him.
I know it is a sensitive issue but would appreciate some help ��
