Can anyone see Thomas Henry Brydon b.1881 Stepney & his wife Mary Ann Brydon b.1880 Stepney in 1911 census.
They were married in 1901 and I'd like to see how many children they had that survived.
Thankyou
June

They might be in Cardiff with a son William Alfred born 1905 Cardiff. Four children died.

Hi Mutley
Thankyou for looking. It's possible it's them, but Cardiff. My lot seemed to stay in the East End.
Actually that's not true as the Brydons did end up in Wood Green.
I'll keep looking

Both adults were born London, as was a boarder that was staying with them.
Do you know what Thomas's occupation was?

If you go to Free BMD and enter deaths in Glamorgan for Brydon (no first name) between 1901 and 1911,
all five children are there. The names may give you a clue.

London Parish Registers on Ancestry has baptisms for two children of Thomas Henry & Mary Ann(e):
Thomas Henry Brydon son of Thomas Henry & Mary Ann
Mary Margaret Brydon dau of Thomas Henry & Mary Anne
I can't see the details of date/place but they're somewhere in the Tower Hamlets borough in 1900-1902. There are corresponding entries in FreeBMD for the births, and sadly also deaths, of these two:
Thomas Henry Brydon, birth registered third quarter of 1901, Stepney district, and death the following quarter in the same district.
Mary Margaret Brydon, birth registered last quarter of 1902, Mile End district
death registered first quarter of 1903, Cardiff district

Thankyou to both Mutley & Coromandel.
It just proves that you shouldn't assume anything.
I found son William Alfred on Electoral roll with parents in Wood Green 1930.
Also a son Thomas henry Jnr at the end of the 30's
So it seems they went to Cardiff and returned perhaps after the war. They were on Wood Green Electoral roll in 1919.
Thomas was a Dock Labourer/Stevedore.
I still can't find them on 1911 census on Ancestry. Did you find it on FMP?
Thank you so much for finding them. I would never have thought they were adventurous enough to go to Wales. I suppose Cardiff Docks was the pull.

They must have come back before the war as I've found 3 more sons on FreeBMD.
1912 Mile End James W
1914 Edmonton Paul He died
1915 Edmonton Thomas H
I know they are right as it gives mother's maiden name Seagers.
What a sad family with so many children dying.
Can you give me some clues how to find them on 1911 census please.

Thanks Mutley. I have managed to find it now.
I followed William Alfred and he married about 1930 and died in 1934 age 29.
His wife died in 1940 age 32.
I can't believe how many deaths there have been in this family.
Thanks again
June
