Default Help Needed to Read a Burial Entry

On Ancestry's London, England, Baptisms Marriages and Burials 1538 - 1812 there is an entry for the burial of Abraham Manners.

Burial 22nd June 1593 at St. Dunstan in the West 1558 - 1632

I can read Abraham Manners a '?' buried out of Shire Lane.

Can anyone help with the missing word?

William who was buried on June 24 has the same word entered, but I cannot make that out either.

Me thinks you need a latin expert!

Could it be 'Servant' or 'Servaunte'?

Look at February 10th - Johan Gundye the ---- of John M.... buryed

Oh, and I think the last word is 'land', not 'lane'.

Abraham Manners a seruannte buryed oute of shire lane

The first two letters form a ligature ('long s' + 'e'), and 'u'/'v' are interchangeable. So I agree with Thomasin that the meaning is 'servant'.

I would say the last letter on the line is 'e' ('lane'). Compare 'Chauncerye lane' a few lines below.

Thank you so much Thomasin and Kerrywood,

Servant made sense, but I was comparing the 'S' in Gilbert Stevens (the next entry). My latin stopped at amo amas amat!

I was happy with Shire Lane as I have found mention of it off of Fleet Street.

    Thanks again.
