Default Where are Arthur & Emily in 1901?

On the 1911, I have found an Arthur EAVES with his wife Emily, and children.

    RG14PN808 RG78PN28 RD10 SD2 ED9 SN434

EAVES, Arthur Head Married 21 years M 40 1871 Labourer Middx Church End Finchley
EAVES, Emily Wife F 37 1874 London St Pancras (? Terrace Highgate) *
EAVES, Charles Son Single M 19 1892 Labourer London St Pancras (Goodge Street, London crossed out)
EAVES, Constance Daughter School F 7 1904 School London St Johns Road Islington
EAVES, Arthur Son M 5 1906 School London Islington
EAVES, Robert Son M 2 1909 Middx Church Yard Highgate

I can find no marriage or the birth regs of the children. They had 5 children, 5 still living, so there is one elsewhere.

It occurred to me that Arthur and Emily were not married, and whilst browsing the GRO index, I found birth regs for relevant children by the surname of HAGUE in the right areas (though Constance is a year or so out).

Emily could have been married to a HAGUE, but I found a Poor Law record on Ancestry for the birth of Charles HAGUE in 1891, illegitimate son of Emily HAGUE. (There is a marriage of a Joseph HAGUE to an Emily BAXTER in 1890, but she was born in c1855, so too old).

Given the gap in ages between Charles and Constance, I wonder if Arthur and Emily did not come together before 1901but I can't find them or Charles on the 1901, either separately or together. This is made more difficult in that I can't find Emily prior to 1911, though there is a possible in 1891 (servant in Scarborough), though looking at the original she might be 27, not 17.

    * The crossed out words next to Emily's name on the 1911 seem to imply she was born in Highgate, but there is a family of HAGUES who give their place of birth as 'Highgate Road' (possible Pancras) on one of the censuses, but I'm darned if I can find them now, and my husband is champing at the bit to use the computer!

Any help greatly appreciated, as always!

The 1871 has a William C HAGUE and family at RG10/247/38/15 - many of the children are born 'St Pancras, Highgate Road'. There is a daughter HEMMER aged 3. She becomes EMILY by 1881: RG11/224/4/1. EMMA in 1891 - RG12/136/ 80/68.

Lost her in 1901. And still no sign of Arthur.

Emily Eaves seems to be born 6 years later than Emily Hague, (1974 & 1968 respectively).

I wondered if Emily Hague had shaved a few years off her age by 1911?

    Thank you Adele.

I had found Charles in the workhouse register but not any of the other children.

Thanks Fran. I have Arthur through to 1891 but he has gone missing in 1901.

I doubt if this is going to help you, but I think Emily's place of birth is Fitzroy Terrace Highgate

This was (and indeed still is) on Highgate Road, and would come under St Pancras.
