To all of you who have done the ancestor search at the Library and Archives Canada site, you may have had results for the Upper Canada Land Petitions (1763-1865).

The index record will typically include information about which microform, bundle and petition number to order. One had to order an unknown number of pages at a per page price to view the actual documents. Well no more! Armed with the search results info, one can now go to

www dot
collectionscanada.gc.ca/microform-digitization/index-e.html?PHPSESSID=pnsucic8mmi5esjgls5sc2t3h3

Click on the link, locate the desired microform and browse to the document images you seek. I found it easier to view the PDF and navigate the document with familiar methods. I also use the "high-low" method of jumping to different pages until I think I'm close to my target, then move one page at a time.

I love having these images on-line! Thank you LAC!
