    Default Marriage Register Address (1879)

I am trying to decipher the addresses from the marriage certificate of William FLOOD to Evangeline EDWARDS on 26 Oct 1879 at St. Peter Bethnal Green, from the image in the ancestry scans of the London Marriages. The scan is slightly out of focus, all I can make out so far is:

    William's: 3? Union Street, _ Street, _ _

Evangeline's: _ Watney? Street, Mile End Road.

Any help from people with ancestry access would be great...

Seems unusual to get such long addresses and so frustrating I can't read them!

and would you belive it? I have exactly the same problem with reading the address on his marriage on 25 Dec 1870 to Isabella Boyall (at Homerton St Barnabas).

    Any help greatly appreciated...

Possibly 3 Union Street, Boston Street, Hackney Rd (Rd being written above?).

It was in Haggerstone, south of the canal, at the south-east corner of the gas works.

I think this is Rosina Street. It runs south off Homerton High Street (still there, London E9).

Thanks Kerrywood! I agree with you. I hadn't considered the road being written above, and had been trying to fit B. Green to it, but it looks much more like Hackney Road. Rosina Street is clear now as well...always easy to see once you know what you are looking for!
