    Default LILLICRAP/COUCH

A John LILLICRAP born ca 1816 Devon, England appears to have married an Amelia COUCH born ca 1837 St Helier.
I believe John was married previously and had 4 children between 1847 and 1852. He then married Amelia ca 1855 and went on to have a further 11 children, the last of which was William Arthur baptised 27 Jul 1884 when John, his father was 68! (I have baptisms for 7 of the children via Donkipedia) Apart from his amazingly prolific brood, John appears to have either been a carter or a labourer (where did he find the time?).
I have the 1861-1901 censuses - what I really would like to locate if John & Amelia's marriage. Hopefully his father's name was given and I can tie him in to my Devon family.
    TIA,

Many thanks for this - however, the 1841 census clearly states COOK on the written page. The 1851 shows her as Emilia COUCH in Jersey with what appears to be the same father as the 1841 William COOK. The 1861 entry is a married Amelia COUCH and by that time Amelia had married John LILLICRAP and was still in Jersey.
