Hi all I'm maureenann
I've been dipping in and out of both mine and my husband's family history for about 20 years or so now. Started with a copy of my maternal greatgrandparents marriage certificate and have managed to get back to the 1600's on her side but am no further with him. That will be my first brickwall I'm hoping to break! He would have to be a Jones.
I came across this site recently and have been reading the posts and been impressed with the help that people are prepared ro give and so thought I'd give it a try.
Am researching Barnards, Sargents, Frost, Schooling, Watkinson and Gursom in Essex
Jones in London
de Courcy in London and Cork, Ireland
Houghton in Essex and Suffolk.

Introducing myself

Welcome Maureenann.
This is place to be to knock "chips off the old block". It has certainly helped me, here in Canada.
I, too have Jones [on my wife's side and from Swansea, no less], so like you, they are a brick wall.
I also have connections to Potterspury. Are you familiar with the area ? - if so. please send a private message [sorry if I'm jumping the gun, here].
Colin
