Hi everyone,I have been family history now for 8years.It has been a wonderful hobbie.I am totally absorbed in it.My sisterinlaw introduced me to it as she is doing my husbands side of the family.She has been an asset for me in the early days & now we both try & nutout those brickwalls together.
There have been however a few brickwalls that we just can't seem to crack.
I have been to Uk & searched in various areas where both my husbands family & mine have lived.This is truly an amazing feeling,to walk in the same towns your ancestors lived hundreds of years ago,see there headstones, find material relating to them,if only they had known way back then ???
I must say England has done a truly wonderful job of Historical records.
Unfortunately my illusive ancestors all have quite common names! Doesn't help!
