Historic newspapers online free?

Hi.

Can anyone suggested a good online historical newspaper site for UK either free or reasonable price please?

Also interested in West Indies or Canada.

The Times online is available for a fee and there is also British Newspapers 1600 - 1900. However, as you are in WA you can join the WA state library and access them from home for free.

There is also the London Gazette at london-gazette.co.uk/ (put www in front) which is free, and from that site you can go to the sites for the Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes.

It is a pay site. If you join the WA State Library as per post 2 you will be able to access it for free from home.
