Now for the 1841 census…
1841: Piece 1420; Book: 2; Folio: 7; Page: 8; Line: 15
Abernant Y Gros Uchaf, Aberdare, Merthyr Tydfil
DAVID, William 65, farmer
DAVID, Gwenllian 65 Glamorgan
DAVID, Daniel 30 Glamorgan
DAVID, Catherine 25 Glamorgan
DAVID, Gwenllian 20 Glamorgan
BOWEN, John 30
Note the address Abernant Y Groes or Abernant Y Gros Uchaf for Daniel throughout the census. Moreover, in 1851 Llewelyn was also living at Abernant Y Gros Uchaf. From this I would be inclined to think that the father of both was William.
