I have an ancestor who lived in West Ham, who died in 1928 by being knocked down by a tramcar in Leyton. There was an inquest, and in my experience, these are often reported in local newspapers. Can anyone tell what local newspapers are worth trying, and if so, where these are accessible? I've tried searching online, but don't seem to be able to pinpoint exactly where records for this area are now held.
Thanks,
David

I would try Newham Local Studies at Stratford Library.

.The local paper for West Ham and surrounding area for that type of news would be The Stratford Express
