I wasn't sure where to put this - sorry if it's in the wrong place!
The brother of my great grandfather was apparently sent, sometime after 1891 to the training ship HMS Worcester. Apart from that, I don't know anything else about him, except as I said in another thread, he was supposedly drowned at sea. He went under several names: Bertram Walshe, Bertram Whitmarsh, and Bertram Whitmarsh Walshe.
I would really like to find out more about him, but am not sure where to start. Any suggestions would really be appreciated.
Thanks,
David

For anyone who can help, David's other thread has more information about Bertram.

HMS Worcester was the home of the Thames Nautical Training College.

Records of trainees are apparently held by the Marine Society, in Lambeth.

A possible starting-point?
