Looking for Fanny Ponton

Fanny was born 1840 in Warminster to Aaron Ponton and Caroline Wigmore. I last traced her in 1861 to Bradford Abbas where she was single and a school teacher. Can anyone find traces of her after that date

Hello Eric,

On Freebmd, there is a marriage of Frances Kezia Ponton in the Jun Q of 1870 in Tisbury, Wiltshire, vol 5a page 389. On the same page is John McGowan and (unusually) no other spouses!

Had a look at the 1861 census to see if I could find Frances (Kezia), but couldn’t find either of the names Frances or Kezia Ponton.

I think this is Fanny Ponting born 1840 in Malmesbury. I have come across all the Fannys (!!) mentioned but none tie up to my relative.
Another possibilty is that she may have moved to Scotland. Her father died 1857 in warminster but her mother Caroline Ponton-(Nee Wigmore) died in Berwick in 1896 where she lived with her daughter Ann Marie who married william Frederick O'Connell in Berwick in 1883. Can anyone out there find Fanny in Scotland?

The death of a 62 year old Fanny Ponton was registered in Scotland in 1901 according to Scotland's People.

P.S. I've now narrowed it down to the Glasgow area (Denistoun district)
