    Default simpkins family

I believe my grand father on fathers side was Thomas Simpkins married to Harriet morley some of the children are joyce, richard harry and william (my dad) any help with information appreciated. We lived in Nottingham and Joyce lives near by but maybe not nottingham in the 1950's and her mother and father lived with her and husband. Thanks

www.freebmd show a death entry for a Thomas Simpkins. Age 34
    Dec qtr. 1933 Nottingham 7b309.

Also another age 66: Mar qtr 1946 Nottingham 7b 472

    Perhaps you can use www.freebmd.org.uk
to try and find children of Thomas and Harriet Simpkins

    Another good site is www.familysearch.org

I've got some gardening to do and will look in later.

Do you have your father's birth certificate? There is an entry in the indexes for 1912, would that be him?

If the family above is yours, then the 1911 census is interesting, since Harriet's mum is staying. I can't post the details due to copyright but you can view it for yourself for a few credits on the site findmypast. Here is the reference.

    1911: RG14/20461 SN296

The family is living in Carlton in Nottinghamshire.

I hope we are with the right family here but there doesn't seem to be another.
Only births I can find with parents Simpkins and Morley are on freebmd in case Ellen hasn't found them.

    William. 1912 Basford
    Violet. 1915 Basford
    Joyce. 1920 Basford
I can't give you any more info than that as they may still be living.
As might P.J.S. (sister or cousin)

    Hi Ellen
Someone has already researched the Morley family from Nottingham but you will need to check it.
Not all info that you find is accurate.
    Click on this:
    https://www.henly.f9.co.uk/home/jepson.html

It's always worth googling every name.
