    Smile directories for London1946

I have located a relative who died in 1990, in Philadelphia. He immigrated to Philadelphia in 1947. On the Passenger list he lists London as last residence. He listed his occupation as Carpenter, and he continued in that occupation in USA.
My question, where would the directories be located, if they are even available due to the War
    thanks for your help

How about that, a Friend has just emailed me the very thing.

The London Post Office Directory -Kelly's 1946 at Guildhall Library

Google 'Guildhall Library' for all things London. Lovely informative page.

You're very welcome, I haven't looked far yet, but you may have to pay for some one to look up what you want in the Directories.
    good hunting.
