    I looked for the Shepherd family in 1871 but didn't find them, however I found a GREEN family who have same names, ages and places of birth!!

    RG10 Piece 1264 Folio 45 Page 14 (Crown copyright, in care of TNA) Living Bampton, again the Green's all born Bampton excluding Hattiett, Carbridge. Jane Redpath is Edward's married dau, and the little Redpath's his grandchildren, Charles Hale is his father in law.

    NB I think Carbridge/Corbridge should infact be Curbridge a place near Witney.

    Looks like Edward was Green in 1841, interestingly there's a ten year old girl in the house with surname Shepherd. Living Bampton. All born in county except Sarah Shepherd. HO107 Piece 872 Book 4 Folio 12 Page 19 (Crown copyright, in care of TNA)
