I am trying to find DObSONS in Saint Vincent West Indies. Can anyone tell me if their are passenger lists from the UK to the West Indies? They would have travelled before 1852. I have found three Dobsons on the Island,Robert,Edward
who was a printer from Saint Kitts,Richard and Sarah. Thank you.

Passenger Lists (document class BT27) kept by The National Archives only commence in 1890 - see this research guide for passenger lists
There are sites online with some earlier passenger lists. They seem mostly to be concerned with those travelling to America - e.g. Olve Tree Genealogy; also the Immgrant Ship Transcribers Guild.
Is there any connection between your DOBSONs and the military?

There are some links on the Family Tree Magazine site that may help (stick it into Google)

One of them, Cyndi's List, is a very good source.
