1837 BMD Registration.

Hello. Can anyone help. if bmd registration started in September 1837. did they include all bmd from the begining of the year. or did they start from September. the reason i ask is my 3x great grandmother died in February 1837. her name is in September deaths but her 18 month old daughter who died in March of the same year does'nt seem to be registered.

The registrations started from 1st July 1837, so anything before that will be a case of using parish registers. Even after the introduction of civil registration, many events were omitted for many years.
I doubt if the lady whose death is registered in Sepember quarter of 1837 (i.e the first official quarter) was the same person as died in February.
