Tribi - Do also remember that you only have an estimated year of birth. Maybe she was born a year later when the Stamp Act was in force? (it taxed entries in parish registers) - resulting in many late and private baptisms, so you may have to trawl a long way through a parish register, picking out available clues as mentioned by Janet (page 1).

Als do check non-conformist records available online via the pay-per-view site 'BMDregisters' (their records are free to search, payment cmes to view the original image).

Janet the Hurley Parish records have been checked, by someone who shares the same family line and lives in Berkshire. The neighbouring parishes have also been searched for clues. We really don't know where else to check.

I completely forgot about the non-parochial records and have done as you suggested. There is one name that comes up, a Sarah Heys but she was bapt. in Beaconsfield about 10 miles away. Will also do as you say and check a little deeper into the Hurley Registers.

    Thanks.

Non-conformist records could cover substantially larger areas than CofE parishes - it may be worth investigating this further.
