My ancestor, Thomas Joy, was apparently born about 1611 in Gravesend, Norfolk. He married Joan Gallop (born 1618 in Bridgeport, Dorset) in 1637 in Boston MA. My direct line is Joseph (b. 1645 MA), Joseph (b. 1668 MA), Simon (b. 1697 MA), Jacob (b. 1734 MA), Jacob (b. 1760 MA) and Lydia (b. 1790 MA). Lydia married Benjamin Eldred (b. 1789 MA) in 1814 MA. Does anyone have information as to who Thomas Joy's parents, ancestors were? I, of course, would appreciate any assistance with this matter. Thank you very much.
