    Smile Brown family from Aston Tirrold

    HI i hope i am on the right page at this is the first time i have posted a thread on here. I am looking for my grandfather brothers

    Thomas James Brown born 1894 at Aston Tirrold. I think he may have been a jockey.

    George Arthur Brown born 1897 at Aston Tirrold

    Herbert Walter Brown born 1908 at Aston Tirrold

    My grandfather was William Richard Brown born 1900 at Aston Tirrold

    Parents of the above were Thomas Brown and Elizabeth West.

    Hi Sandy, I recentl had cause to wander into Aston Tirrold, found the registered events under Epsom.
    1901 census has the Family at Aston Tirrold... births reg'd at Wallingford.

    Wife Elizabeth Brown ..30
    Elizabeth Mary " ....11
    Agnew Annie .............9 (mistranscribed of Agness.)

    William Richard.......... 1 1900- 2c 313
    Class: RG13; Piece: 1138; Folio: 12; Page: 15.

    Added to the above,: a George A. Brown married an Edith E. EAST, at Wallingford in Dec.1/4 1918 2c-929.

    A William R.Brown married a Mary A. DIX at Wallingford sep.1/4 of 1923 ..2c-772.

    An Elizabeth Brown at Wallingford married an Eli Pointer june 1915 2c-91 perhaps they are your Family?

    There is a contact with these names on "Genes Reunited' are you a member?

    It turned out that the Bride was born in Carshalton, Surrey. She became a School mistress for some years in Aston Tirrold. My search was centred & ended there. The main character died & was buried in Wantage, Berks.

    Hi Sandy, you were correct about Thomas James Brown possibly being a Jockey, here he is on the 1911:-
