I have an antique glass jar, inherited from my great-aunt. On the lid it says "Bertenshaw & Turner, Manchester". A quick Google turned up the information that it was a jam and pickle factory. Soes anyone know anything more about it? I'm trying to decide what the jar contained (jam or pickle?) and how old it might be. Also - if anyone knows the name of this type of jar, it would be helpful too. The spaghetti inside should give you an idea of the size. It seems big for jam or pickle - unless it held pickled onions or something like that.
