    Default What does Mris and.....

    Burial 1648
I have Mris Grace Greenhalgh. Could Mris be a shortening of the word Mistress ?

I also have a burial which reads:- Edmund Seddon Vulgo Sheb, and I have entered in remarks 'commonly known as Sheb'.
Should I enter once as Seddon and once as Sheb as, 3 days later I have burial of :
vx (wife) Edmund Seddon Sheb and again enter under Seddon and Sheb.

    Enter where?
Are you indexing? silly me this is on the FreeREG board!
I would imagine that you would enter the entry under both surnames.
