    Default st kitts and nevis

    hi
    i'm trying to trace a daniel rees born 1839 in st kitts and nevis,his parents were daniel,born in 1809 in cardiff and mary ann,born 1819 in sheffield,daniel snr was a surgeryman in greenwich but i don't know how or why daniel was born in the west indies.

    Possibly his father was in the army? Try the GRO regimental births index, on paysites such as Findmypast etc.

    Perhaps his Dad was in the Army.

    you can order the cert from the gro.

    I hope Glynis will be ordering the birth certificate. She should now also be safe in ordering his father's army papers.

    I'm told that you should order using the Digital Express service and not on paper (which they now won't do at a sensible cost). I can't speak from personal experience because I usually get my copies in person.

    Glynis, if there's anything you don't know how to do, please ask.
