Hello
My query is about Frank Eric Norris born 1903 Finchley Middlesex.
I down loaded my grandfathers service history, which is proving a challenge to read.
He was a clerk aged 18yrs when he joined up and stayed for 7yrs, it would seem he was discharged, the remarks seem very repetive, with negligently performing a duty, knowlingly making a false document.
I just have a question and hope someone can help me.
Down the bottom of the sheet to the lower right It reads as follows:
SCL 88/39 S.1800 to Nat Ais Stoke on Trent.
Thanks in advance

You are permitted to post images of the sections that are difficult to read to obtain help with interpretation. If you can copy the relevant sections to a website such as photobucket and post the link here, we may be able to help.
It is very difficult to provide a definitive answer without seeing the section in context and confirming your reading of the entry.

I have attached the section I am unable to read.
It doesn't look easy to read, how can i make it larger for you to read.

The National Archives?
Should anyone wish to help read the section posted by Aussie Shep.
Click the screen and then press ctrl and + on the keyboard.
Ctrl and - will reduce it again.

I'm afraid I couldn't even try at that resolution. Could you possibly crop out the blank area and provide a higher resolution (I know you're limited by the quality of the download)?

It looks like something to do with a Court Order rather than Naval. He may have been under Supervision by someone representing the Government, like a Police Officer.??

If this is a pdf file, you might try enlarging it and printing off just the section of interest. Scan that print and post that saved image (someone who is good technically may come up with something better).
As to what can be read, I can just about make out:
vide **** (23?) ledger
* (i) negligently performing duty
(ii) knowingly making a false document
***** 3135/26
approves discharge unsuitable for rating of S.B.A in expectation of any (F.S?) (leave??) due
There's then a rubber stamp with something about the Ministry of Labour
******* S.1000 to Nat (Ars/Ass?) Stoke on Trent.
It reads as though some paperwork has been sent to Stoke. Did your cahp come from there? - or did he go to live and work there?
Sorry, that's the best I can make of it.

Sounds like some form of Supervision or a Court Martial?

Can you just extract the relevant page and make the whole page available as a PDF?
